EOV Warehouse Sale

Hey there Friends of EOV!
PICTURE THIS… First day of spring…first 2021 EOV weekend warehouse sale! What a pairing! We're selling two blinged out estates, but this is only the first part. Second sale in April!

Have you been waiting all of 2020 to come to a great sale? This one is worth the wait. It's our first EOV warehouse sale of the year happening in our new weekend format. Yep, it's BIG and BEAUTIFUL! You'll be bummed if you miss it!

We're selling the personal property from the Duluth estates of Michael Jeno (Mick) Paulucci, and Gilbert Woodward (Gil) Harries!

Start Spring 2021 with some great bling! Indulge yourself and shop our warehouse full of everything from one-of-a-kind antiques, carpets, lighting, art glass, original fine art and art prints to vintage and classic books, fine men's apparel, footwear and hunting gear, tools, household items and smalls! The contents are from the Gilbert Harries estate, as well as part one of two parts of the Duluth personal property of the Mick Paulucci estate.

Michael Jeno (Mick) Paulucci (10/26/48 – 8/8/20) Mick enjoyed cooking, telling stories and surrounding himself with friends. He was the founder of Grandma's Restaurant Company, as well as Grandma's Sports Garden, Little Angie's Cantina, and Bellisio's Italian Restaurant. Mick and his Grandma's Restaurant were the original sponsors of Duluth's 44-year-old Grandma's Marathon. This sale is part one of two sales of his fabulous Duluth estate collection. The second sale will occur in April at a date yet to be announced.

Gilbert W Harries (1/15/32 – 1/1/21) Gil was a highly respected lawyer in the Twin Ports, spending most of his 65-year legal career with at Hanft Fride, PA where he was a shareholder and past president. He loved books, art and travel and, he was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, skiing, canoeing, sailing, and hiking with his dogs, as well as cabin time with his family. He was active in the community with the Duluth Planning Commission, the Duluth Public Library and United Way. Gil was a loving husband, father, mentor, and lifelong friend.

FURNITURE AND CARPETS – Some highlights of the antique and vintage furnishings include many lovely, ornate walnut pieces from the 1800s, including a bed with a 7-foot-tall burled walnut carved headboard and footboard! You'll find a heavily carved youth bed, a marble top washstand, a sweet hall mirror, a unique plant stand, a parlor table, as well as a burled walnut sideboard with a display center.

But, oh my heart, the OTHER sideboard! Words can hardly describe the tall, ornate, heavily carved, tiger oak piece! Probably Black Forest in origin, not only is it massive, but it is marvelously detailed with multiple carved cherubs and lion heads, and even full-bodied lion sculptures, not to mention the large panel carving of a maiden in the orchard picking apples. It is the definition of one-of-a-kind!

You will find an ornate French-style sofa and chair, a pleasing sized French style curved glass china cabinet with hand-painted scenes. There's a delightful eight-foot-tall oak pier mirror with a storage bench below, a Victorian hand carved fireplace screen with a scenic needlepoint pane, as well as a steel and brass bed with mother of pearl detailing, and two antique baby cradles – one oak and one brass!

We are selling several Oriental, Persian and decorator rugs, small and large, as well as an oak hanging display/medicine cabinet and a unique plant stand. Check out the walking wheel spinning wheel and the child sized oak school desk with a drawer, and many sweet, antique children's books, too. A must-see is the Old West saloon table and chairs, made of authentic, heavy weathered wagon wheel parts – truly unique, truly antique!

HOME DÉCOR, HOUSEHOLD and HOLIDAY – No doubt about it; there's a lot of vintage household and midcentury decorator items to please out vintage enthusiasts. You'll love the numerous pieces of quality copper cookware, crocks, vintage coffee grinders and kitchenware. Bar enthusiasts will love the vintage ice breakers, shakers and cocktail recipe books! Look for the vintage holiday items and the Rushton Santas, too. From ornate to simple there's a lot here to see, even shabby chic!

TOOLS and HARDWARE – We're selling an old, heavy workbench that has lots of character and, to go with it, buy some handy gal supplies and hardware for your home chores and repurposing projects. We are also selling numerous hand tools, power tools, axes and a handyman jack, as well as two chainsaws – one is Stihl. Look for the Super Start Portable Power Source Air Compressor, the Goodyear Inflator and Schumacher battery charger.

SPORTING GOODS and TOYS – No collection from an outdoorsman would be complete without second amendment items…and we have five for sale! We are also selling an oak locking cabinet in which to store them! Other hunting "must-haves" include duck decoys, waders, a Swift Telemaster 841 Zoom spotting scope, two pairs of snowshoes, many cross country and downhill skis and poles, and even a pair of antique Top Flight wooden downhill skis!

COLLECTIBLES and SPECIALTY – You don't see these items come up for sale very often, but this sale includes some lovely art glass Quoizel and Steuben light shades, as well as a classy LeCoultre Atmos clock. Be sure to look at the monumental horseheads and gargoyles fireplace andirons, the two Handel lamps and the wonderfully grand, brass 6-light chandelier with frosted and etched glass shades – 4.5-feet tall! There are two remarkable antique picnic sets in original suitcases and a 7-inch-thick vintage journal with hundreds of match book covers – truly a unique find!

BOOKS and ELECTRONICS – We're selling a like-new Apple watch and iPhone 8, as well as various vintage cameras and electronics. We love the impressive vintage and antique books, including many classics, biographies and histories. Subjects and authors include Duluth history, Minnesota history, railroad, Lincoln, Shakespeare, Civil War, and many sweet and quite old children's books including Dr. Suess!

APPAREL and ACCESSORIES – There are numerous racks of vintage and current men's apparel, including quality brand name suits, shirts, sweaters, jackets and hunting apparel! This is a great time and place to buy men's shoes and boots by many high-end brands like Wolverine, Red Wing, Danner and Meindl! And check out the vintage hats…there's a great Stetson and even an antique, authentic black fur felt top hat!
